WorkSafeBC is proud to host the BC in 2008 Conference, a unique event combining the IAIABC’s 94th Annual Convention with the annual AWCBC Learning Symposium, which brings approximately 400 delegates together to discuss topics relating to workers’ compensation in Canada, the U.S., and around the world.
Learn from and share with hundreds of workers' compensation professionals from around the world at this unique event held in beautiful Vancouver, B.C. from October 25 – 31, 2008.
The week-long conference features inspirational keynote speakers, including: The Corporation author Joel Bakan, leadership expert Ian Percy, VANOC’s Donna Wilson, paralympic gold medalist Todd Nicholson, and disabilities management expert Richard Pimentel.
Unique joint-sessions between AWCBC and IAIABC feature speakers from both associations, collaborating on presentation topics such as Complex claims, Mexican workers, and Legislative trends in Canada and the United States.
Delegates should register for the program which offers them the most sessions they plan to attend. You are welcome to attend sessions from both associations while in Vancouver and registration staff will be on hand each day to assist you. A combined program pdf is available to help delegates plan their individual programs.
